Bottling Day!

The county fair homebrew competition is coming up next week, and tonight was a good night to bottle the latest rendition of Down At The Delta ESB. In the glass on the top of the kegerator is the stuff I am bottling.



I wanted to make sure I got my weird capper device in the photo. It totally works great, but I have never seen one for sale anywhere. It was one of the things I picked up off the guy when I bought his home brewing hobby, as is that keg sitting in the kegerator. The kegerator i traded a pistol for.

This was by far the easiest bottling experience I have had to date. Nothing really went wrong, my ghetto broken racking cane turned rubber stopper bottle filler stayed in place as did the tubing, and new 3/8" to 5/8" coupler worked like a champ. Sort of like this video below, but I connect my tubing to a party faucet, which gives me better/easier control.

My most important bottling learning experience: Never try to bottle from a warm keg!
